Financial Ministry Assistant

Pat Grand, Financial Assistant and Pastor's Secretary, has been on staff at First Baptist Church since March, 1996. In November of 2001, she was certified as a Ministry Assistant by the BGCT. Pat not only loves her work, but feels that God called her to serve Him in this way.

Pat's husband, Steven, is a Sergeant with the Haskell Police Department. They have two daughters. The oldest daughter, Leslie, graduated from Texas Tech in May 2007 and married her high school sweetheart, James, in June. They live in Lubbock. There youngest daughter, Stephanie, is a freshman at Texas Tech.

Her parents, Felton and Melva Everett, raised her and her three sisters in a wonderful Christian home and have always believed in and encouraged her.

Pat joined FBC in 1972, as a high school student when her family moved to Haskell, so this church has been a large part of her life as she has grown up and raised her family. She says, "My church family has always been there to support, encourage, and love me through the good times and the bad. Over the years, I have learned and grown and served alongside my church family. And they have been right there to nurture and love my children, too. I believe that is what the fellowship of a church is all about."
